Induction heating is a non-contact heating method that can be used to heat metals.
An induction heater creates an alternating magnetic field that creates eddy currents inside the material. It is these eddy currents that also heat the material from the inside. With the help of ALBATROS equipment, alternating current is sent back and forth in the inductor, in the frequency range of 15-30 kHz. A magnetic field amplifier concentrates the magnetic field.
    Three factors affecting heating.
When it comes to induction, there is usually a lot of talk about the power of an induction heater. But power is only one of the three most important parameters. The other two are the surface to which the power is applied and the frequency. Power per unit of heating surface area is a very important indicator of an inductor to be able to achieve high power density, and in this field, the Italian ALBATROS is one of the world leaders.
The last factor, frequency, is always a trade-off. In principle, the lower the frequency, the deeper the magnetic penetration into the material. In other words, at low frequencies, heat is generated deeper inside the material. So, induction heaters with higher frequencies would heat more surfaces of the material. It can be seen with the naked eye, but only the surface is visible with the eyes, and it would be difficult to judge the depth of the heat spread in the material. ALBATROS 3-phase models work in the frequency range 15-30 kHz.
In the field of vehicle repair, induction heaters are mainly used for loosening rusted threaded joints, as well as for straightening frames, axles, etc. Bolted joints in modern vehicles are very precise parts, with minimal tolerances, and often involve several metals of different qualities. In addition, it often consists of various other materials, such as rubber, various types of glue, etc. Many bolted joints are pre-tightened from the factory. In addition, as is known, over time, the parts of the joints are exposed to various types of corrosion. All of these things add up to a demand for more powerful torque tools, if it's possible to loosen severely corroded joints at all. Induction heaters greatly simplify the release of such compounds.
The induction heater is a quick and economical solution.
Releasing threaded joints with an induction heater is different from using an open flame. An open flame heats the outer joint surface, causing it to expand. With induction heating, an immediate temperature difference is achieved between the various parts of the joint, causing it to release and the parts to move. This means that e.g. is heated quickly and easily. screw, causing it to “move” which in turn reduces the required torque needed to loosen the joint.
There are various other areas where inductive heaters can be used. For example, to release glued parts: windshields, windows, stickers, rubber and plastic strips, etc.
